Yes we have already some shortcuts you can use. To see which ones simply press: “shift” + “?”
If you have the chrome extension installed and you are logged in you can right click somewhere in chrome. In the appearing menu select “crib.ninja”. One of the points in there will be “Set active Collection” where you can choose which one should be active.
The collection which is set there will be the one new pages will get saved to. Depending on that will also the ninja-icon change when you are on a page which got already saved in the selected collection.
By default it is set to “shift” and “right mouse button”. However that can get changed in the plugin settings. Simply click with the right mouse button on the little ninja next to the address bar and select “Options”. On the appearing page you can then select the key and button you want to use instead.
There are actually multiple possibilities. If you are already logged in app.crib.ninja it will log you in automatically.
If thats not the case you can click on the small ninja icon next to your address-bar like if you want to bookmark the page. It will then display you the login form first.

We currently declare crib.ninja as “beta” because it is totally new and we know that our product is not perfect yet. Some users will for sure have one or the other issue or maybe see an error message or two. When that happens please inform us we will then try to fix the problems asap. When you are logged in you will see your email address in the top right corner of the page. If you click on it a menu will appear with the option “Change Password”. Once selected a window will open in which you can change your new password.
To be able to display you the information of the apartments, we have to visit the website first our self. Like you know opening a page takes some time and and varies a lot between different website. This plus the time it takes us to find the information on the page, creating a screenshot, saving everything and then sending it to you can take a while. Depending on how many people are currently requesting pages there is maybe an additional delay because we have sadly not unlimited resources. However normally it should not take longer then 5-10 seconds.
We are always working on speeding up the process but are still in a very early stage so please bear with us. Thanks!
To change the active collection click on the circle with the three lines left of the collection name. A menu will appear on the left side with all the collections you currently have access to. That could be ones you did create yourself or ones that other people gave you access to.
To add another collection click on the circle with the three lines left of the collection name. A menu will appear on the left side. The first entry is “Add New Collection”. If you click on it you can enter the name of the new collection. After doing that and pressing OK it will get created and directly activated.

The permanent collection is for everything you want to save long-term and that you can share with others. You can create as many of them as you want.
The temporary collection is a place where you can simply dump some pages. That gives you the possibility to inspect them further. The ones you then want to keep can then get promoted to the permanent collection and all other ones can simply get trashed. Each user has only one of it and it can not be shared. The collection which is currently active while being in the temporary one decides where entry get promoted to.
People can get added to a collection by clicking on the three yellow dots right of the collection name. There you can then select “Share Collection”. On the appearing site you can add users by supplying their email addresses. They will then get informed via email that they got access. For each person you can then also set what rights they have.
Admin -> Can add and remove users. Could also remove you from the collection
Tag -> Create/Remove Tags
Entries -> Add/Remove entries and apply Tags
Currently we concentrate on the US and Germany. So all the apartment-websites in those countries should be supported. If you save an apartment from a page that does not work or not all needed information gets displayed simply inform us. If you come from another country you can still inform us and we will also try to add support. However depending on the work load it could take a little bit longer because they have a lower priority.
